L'OREAL BRANDSTORM 2013

As companies expand and move forward, new ways of discovering the brightest, most talented fresh graduates have become great in number. During these changes, marketing competitions have proven to be an effective staple and L’Oreal leads the way with over 20 years of success.

Brandstorm, L’Oreal’s Global Marketing Competition, is the most prestigious business game that lets its participants compete in a international arena. More than 60,000 of the most brilliant young minds worldwide have been part of the undoubtedly prestigious game.

Now on its 5th year here in the Philippines, Brandstorm gives its new roster of participants a challenging task: to come up with a new line of products for the number one beauty brand in the world, L’Oreal Paris. As an edgy and glamorous brand, the undertaking is taken to a whole new level. Their mission is Breakthrough Innovation, to create a line of products that will stand out in the Asian market yet fit with the branding of L’Oreal Paris. Over 180 students from Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University and the University of the Philippines have dared to win big, but only 18 students forming 6 teams are left to compete in the national finals.

On the 21st of March 2013, the six teams will vie for a chance to be named Brandstorm National Champions. Only one team will be selected to represent the Philippines and triumph in Paris for a chance to win 10,000 Euros as their grand prize.

The winning team doesn’t only go home with an abundance of prizes but also continues their journey to innovate and succeed in the world of beauty.

As a business student, I also dream that one day, I get to join marketing competitions like this. These finalists are really some of the best among the best students in the country and they really inspire a lot of people, including me. Let's help them make their dreams of competing in Paris come true <3
