It's prom season once again!

Oh how time flies... Around this time last year, I was super busy preparing for our batch's prom/graduation ball (yes, we celebrate that only once :)... at the end of our senior year...)

I was one of the heads for our prom and we came up with the theme..

I admit, I really was super nervous for our prom... a few weeks before the said event, we still lack sponsors ... I was panicking almost 24/7... I was even dreaming about the worst scenario that can happen :o

But I'm so lucky and thankful that I was working with the best people in the world and

our prom turned out to be a successful one <3

I super love how our plans turned out to reality <3

Sheer and Gold are two of my favorites when it comes to clothing wear.
For sheer, I don't know but it really looks effortlessly elegant and for gold items, just wear them and poof, it will make your whole outfit pop up from the crowd!

My 2011 Hong Kong Trip's Final Day

The last day of our Hong Kong Trip was kind of chill...
Our flight's at 4:30 pm so we decided to leave our hotel at 1:00 pm...

Before, we used to walk around and do last minute shopping around the Causeway Bay Area before we head to the airport but I guess, because our luggage is already overweight we then just decided to stay in the room, watched tv, and had a family bonding :)

Here's a quick run through of what happened on our fourth and final day...

Had McDo for our breakfast...

I got curious with this certain meal McDo offered...

but according to my siblings, it tastes good :)

Rented a van to drive us to the airport...

Once we're done with the immigration process, we headed to Mcdo to order ....

Don't judge... HAHA
Well the waitress already judged me... she said (in chinese) "Why buy a lot? You're going to eat these all?"
I just laughed and answered her: "No, it's because we don't have this product back in our country and I'm buying some for my Aunt."

I promise you, this burger is super yummmmy!
I'm not a fan of burgers but this is an exception.

This is one of the reasons why I love Cathay Pacific...
Their big planes offer a lot of updated episodes of top series!!!!

and after a while,

Touch down, Philippines....

Overall, it was a super nice trip for me... I got the chance to bond with my family which I haven't been doing quite lately because of my hectic academic life... I got the chance to de- stress and relax from my busy life...

How I wish I could have trips like this more often...

For the past n years,

I never saw this restaurant vacant...

always packed with people all day long!

This soft shelled crab is the BEST

Believe me, nothing beats this ever!

Actually, that's why my aunt brings us here...

it is because of this oh- so yummy soft shelled crab <3

Went to Langham Place, Mongkok to check out the Hello Kitty Display...

Super Cute!

How I wish Pochacco has this too :(

Passed by McDo to order my favorite Strawberry Shake

(Philippines has this but they really taste different :( )

How to Wear your UPCBA Shirts

Last December 15, I organized/ directed my fashion show <3
It was tiring but it was worth all the effort!

The fashion show was held during the Culmination night of the

UP Diliman's College of Business Administration Week...

When I was thinking about the concept of the fashion show,
I pondered upon what types of clothes should be modeled...
I then came up with the idea of
"Why not showcase the different styles on how to wear our college's shirt ?"

Therefore, I contacted ACTS, the Association of Clothing Tech Students, of UP Diliman

to partner with us in organizing the fashion show...
Thank you so much, to my love, Tin Iglesias, VP for externals of ACTS

and to the whole organization for helping out! <3

With just a simple T-shirt, one can come up with fab and chic complete outfits..

I had only the time to shop

during the later days of December...

I won a P1000 worth of GC from SSI

last April 2011 when I won the best dressed for my

High School Prom...

This GC may be used in various stores namely:

Muji, Zara, Marc Jacobs, Armani Exchange, etc.

I opted to use it at Zara...

Here's what I got for myself :D

It was a bit pricey but I've been eyeing for this

pair of pants also for quite some time...

and this is my first Zara item in my whole life :)

Just pair it with a simple white top, and you're off to go!

3. P1000 worth of Sodexo GCs from my Brother

Sodexo GCs can be used with over 4000 establishments in the country!

I used mine at JellyBean SM Manila :D

Heh... I'm quite attracted to shiny shimmery stuff these days :">

What I love about Jellybean is that compared to others,

its shoes are not that pricey... plus, they are really

fashionable and of good quality <3

4. P10000 worth of GCs from Nivea x Mango

Okay here's the story...

I won these GCs from a Nivea x Mango

competition I blogged about HERE

When I got my GCs, my bag was stolen... (the GCs were inside)

Thankfully, I was with Keigh and Ava when my bag was stolen

and they helped me contact the brand manager of Mango Philippines

regarding my stolen GCs...

The then Brand Manager, Ms. Cai was

really really nice and she helped me

block the thief from using my GCs

(but the thief still *shamefully* still to use them..

good thing, Mango's really

efficient that they didn't allow the thief to use them since they were stolen)

and was even kinder

enough to give me new GCs

Therefore... I got these :D

The leather jacket was 8k + (face drools @-| )

I know it's expensive!

It's even more expensive than 2 of my prom gowns combined!

But I thought it's better to invest in

classic and long lasting pieces,

also, this is genuine leather ...

so I thought this selection is the best :)

Last Friday, despite my hectic schedule, I tried my best to

attend the birthday dinner

of one of my most beloved friends, Julie ...

It's so funny how Julie and I became close...

actually, I really don't remember the exact event how we

ended up with this kind friendship (which is awesome, btw)
but all I know is that way back in grade school,

we used to fight over small things (Hi juliiie! remember the mural contest? HAHA)

It is the second installment of the first-ever Bloggers United: An Interactive Shopping Affair (link your past entry if you like), which was held last May. Due to insistent demand from readers and bloggers alike, Bloggers United (http://www.facebook.com/bloggersunitedph) team in partnership with the country’s largest online shopping website, Multiply Philippines (http://multiply.com/) have gathered Manila’s fashion bloggers to sell their pre-loved but very stylish closet pieces!

This event is the perfect opportunity for both bloggers and their adoring readers to mingle and personally interact with each other. Fun contests and exciting giveaways from sponsors and entertaining performances from bloggers (Walkie Talkies, Reese & Vica) themselves will definitely keep this event from being a dull one.

Last Thursday, November 17, The Little Things She Needs, THIS BRAND,

opened its first Philippine branch in Eastwood...

The Early Birds :D

The event started with a short program where
some of the notable people behind the brand gave their speeches...

Mr. Freddie Beh, owner of the brand TLTSN
flew straight from Indonesia to Manila to
launch its newest branch in the Philippines..

During his speech, he explained why he came up with the concept
of establishing this brand...
It was his mother's birthday... He ran from one shop to another
and to no luck, found nothing that suits his mother's taste...
Suddenly, an idea popped into his mind...
Why not just build a store on his own... a store where all the little things she needs are present!
Thus, TLTSN was established, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Because the store offers a wide range of accessories and shoes,
who else should they get to be its ambassador but
one of Philippine's top bloggers and fashionistas
Ms. Laureen Uy.

After the introduction and speeches,
a little game was organized where in selected guests are given the challenge

Nuffnang Blog Awards, Here I Come

The 16^th of December, year 2011 is a day to remember. It is the day when the top 500 boggers from around the Asia-Pacific region will flock to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Putrajaya Marriott to attend an event that will mark history: the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011. The Awarding aims to not only honor the region's best bloggers, but also to bring together blogger communities from across Asia-Pacific. The Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards is brought to you by Volkswagen Malaysia and Putrajaya Marriott.

The moment I saw the news about this, my heart skipped a beat! I really want to attend this event therefore I came up with three reasons why I deserve to be chosen as one of the few bloggers to be invited to this said event.

1. I love love love traveling! I love exploring different countries with interesting and colorful cultures. Ever since I was young, I already know that Malaysia is one of the must- go countries in Asia, specifically, in the Asia Pacific! Being a multi-ethnic, multicultural and multilingual society, Malaysia has always been a country with an interesting background when it comes to holidays and celebrations, cuisine, and arts! Traveling to Malaysia has been one of my dreams since I was young. To me, experiencing all of these first hand is truly a heavenly opportunity.

2. I may be new to the blogging world but within a short span of time, I met different kinds of wonderful people already. I am a people- person. Meaning, I love meeting (and of course, befriending) all the people around me! I have made some international friends from Vietnam, Myanmar, and Thailand before from joining study programs abroad and this time, I want to meet different people from the blogging world from Asia Pacific countries! I would love to share ideas, stories, and blogging tips with them!

3. Lastly, blogging has never been this influential. I want to be at the event and see and know and listen to the stories of the people on how they've changed the world. May it be about fashion, food, entertainment, lifestyle, photography, or travel blog, I know and we all know that the bloggers that will be attending the event are the ones who made impact not only in the internet world, but also in the real world. I salute all the bloggers out there because they take time to blog and inspire, mold, and even change lives of their readers. Being able to attend the event and listen to their success stories is yet the best Christmas gift I would be receiving!

Nuffnang is the home of the most awesome people in the blogging world and I can't be more ecstatic to be part of their Awarding Ceremony this coming December in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

I am sure, the Nuffnang Asia- Pacific Blog Awards will mark history

The DIVA has arrived!

Last Monday was a holiday but it was indeed a busy (but fulfilling :) ) day for me...
I assisted in yet another shoot (or I mean 3 editorials packed in one day! )

Later that day, even if I was already tired, I still rushed to the south to attend a Bloggers' Camp

because I really love seeing my blogger friends and of course,
I was wondering what the newest

store in town, Diva, has to offer!

The event was held at the Alabang Town Center

M2 Fashion has developed another line of accessories that will cater to a younger set of fashionistas. This new brand is called DIVA and their first branch in Alabang Town Center opens today

As I've told you, I came from a shoot that is why, I ran late.. but nonetheless, I

still enjoyed!
Here's the rundown of what happened during the said event...

Melai hosted the event. She's really an all around person!

Cheers for the great job sis ;)

Kookie Buhain, one of my favorite bloggers, gave a talk about blogging...
She shared how and why she started blogging, gave some tips and styles

and even left us with inspirational messages :)

Melai Entuna discussed different opportunities that blogging has to offer.
From advertisements to endorsements, she named them all!

Tracy Ayson and Tin Iglesias talked about styling. They shared their
experiences regarding handing styling gigs, their favorite field of styling, and
even talked about how to style ourselves for us to look
out best! :)

After the talk, the people went wild for the next game: Style your blogger sister!
Everyone was so excited to use Diva's collection to style
her favorite blogger!

and really, I was once very afraid to purchase online but thanks to
Five by Five owner, I am now totally confident to trust online sellers :)

On the other hand, regarding the title, that was the movie we decided to watch...
Starring Justine Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried... I must say, this movie rocks!
I love the concept of the movie and its story...
Critical thinking wise, you'll realize how this story's lessons are

really touching and easy to relate to!

this international model is making waves in the Philippine Fashion Industry.

Claire Unabia began acting, modeling and directing

in high school but above all this, she loved film directing the most!

She pursued her passion in New York City where she graduated from

Columbia University with two degrees in Film Studies and Psychology.

Along side, she continued to model and act and

eventually starring on America's Next Top Model Cycle 10.

She has appeared in numerous campaigns including Kodak, Intel, Lila Horn;

covers of Sense and Style, Parents, Islands;

runways of Junko Yoshioka, BET Rip the Runway, AZ Araujo

and many, many more including a life size sculpture of her for Vera Wang.

Alos, she has already appeared on the television shows like Gossip Girl, Law and Order,

White Collar, Nurse Jackie and The Beautiful Life.

Claire Unabia continues to work and live in Brooklyn NYC, living the most environmental life possible, while constantly doing charity work, modeling, acting and brewing new art and film projects.
